After Kalaipuli Thanu’s announcement about his next production venture VIP2 (Velaiyilla Pattathari 2) directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, Dhanush playing the hero role triggered several questions that if would be a sequel of VIP? or a brand new script.

Reports now says that Amala Paul and Samuthirakani will remain as the leads roles. There are still questions, if VIP2 will take off from where VIP left or would it be something new.
