While fans and family are still mourning the death of a great comedian Vivekh, some are moving on and nurturing a project he left behind.
The late actor had started a tree-planting initiative following the advice of former president, APJ Abdul Kalam, who had asked him to plant one crore worth of trees. However, he managed to plant just 33.23 laks worth under his Green Kalam project before his unfortunate demise.

Now, everyone is working hand in hand to complete his project and make Green Kalam a success. Co-actors, environmental activists, educationists and fans are all coming together to plant more trees as a mark of tribute to the late comedian. Abdul Ghani, a green activist said that Vivekh had inspired many people to plant trees and he’s now looking for more people to make his dream a reality. He added that with the number of fans he has, it is possible to achieve the goal. They are planning to work it out this coming World Environment Day on June 5th.
Like he always stressed, “Planting a sapling isn’t enough, you need to ensure it is properly taken care of”.
We hope the project turns out to be successful soon with the help of all these amazing people.
