Thriller. Revenge. Justice. These are the words that come to mind from the latest movie hit, Darbar starring Superstar Rajinikanth directed by AR Murugadoss. The movie also stars other cinema legends and hot shots including Nayantara playing female lead and Sunil Shetty as the antagonist. Furthermore, Yogi Babu and Nivetha Thomas share in the limelight by playing crucial supporting roles in the movie. 

Rajinikanth plays Aaditya Arunasalam, and has taken on the role of your not-so-average cop. That was a highlight on its own as it has been 25 years since he had taken on such a role. The movie begins with Aaditya hunting down gangsters Mumbai and killing them as a form of revenge. We drop any spoilers so you'll have a chance to be fascinated with Aaditya’s past and find out how the personal revenge motive came to be.

The film also balances up with Yogi Babu lighting up the mood with his comedic routines, and Niventha Thomas playing Aaditya’s daughter bringing the more emotional scenes. 

Overall, the movie had generally great reviews with well choreographed fight scenes and stunts for the action buffs, technical directing by Murugadoss and brilliant camerawork by Santosh Sivan.
