Vidhya Balan is no new name in Indian Entertainment. The 40-year-old actress will be making her debut in Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai. The movie is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink, which was helmed by Vinoth H.

Featuring Shraddha Srinath, newcomer Abirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Rangaraj Pandey and Adhik Ravichandran in prominently pivotal roles, the cast line-up certainly adds heat to the fire among fans of the original Hindi movie.

Vidya Balan’s next biggie is a biopic on the supremely talented Shakuntala Devi. The movie revolves around the story of India’s own extraordinary human computer. Directed by Anu Menon, the film is estimated to hit the silver screens by the summer of 2020

For the unversed, Shakuntala Devi was an Indian writer and mental calculator, popularly known as the "human computer". Her talent earned her a place in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records. She had donned many hats over the years. Besides her love for mathematics, she was an astrologer, cookbook author and a novelist. She travelled the world demonstrating her mathematical ideas.
