Actress Jyothika created history in Tamil cinema with her film 'Ponmagal Vandhal' being the first ever mainstream Tamil movie to be released on an online platform directly on May 29th. The film is produced by the celebrity couple Surya and Jyothika.
Jyothika is expected to return in sequel of the 2005 blockbuster Chandramukhi, the actress played Ganga and her alter ego Chandramukhi along with Superstar Rajinikanth and Prabhu and the film went on become the biggest hit in the history of Tamil cinema running for a total of 890 days.
During an interview recently the 'Ponmagal Vandhal' actress was questioned whether she is reprising her iconic role in the upcoming Chandramukhi she has replied that no one has approached her yet and she has no knowledge about the project as of now. With the announcement of Chandramukhi 2 in productions with Raghava Lawrence took Twitter by surprise revealing that he will headline the cast of a sequel to Chandramukhi, with the blessing of Superstar Rajinikanth, fans were hoping to see the actress once again as Ganga.
