Karthik Shamaalan is a Malaysian director that has worked on many iconic films such as The Farm: En Veettu Thottathil and Sughamaai Subhulakshmi, along with many trending television series, including Kalyaanam 2 Kaathal, which is in its second season.

Karthik started off making short films in his university days and in 2014, released a film called Melle Thirantathu Kathavu on DVD. 

His first feature to be released on the big screen was The Farm: En Veettu Thottathil in 2017, followed by Sughamaai Subhulakshmi in 2018. 

Both films were well received by critics and audiences, claiming Karthik as one of the best directors in Malaysia. 

Currently, Karthik’s Kalyaanam 2 Kaathal Season 2 is on Astro Vinmeen HD (CH 231). 

Consisting of 22 episodes, the series stars some of our best local talents including Magendran Raman, Malarmeni Perumal, Yuvaraj Krishnasamy, Pashini Sivakumar, Ravin Rao Santheran, Thiruvaluvan, Ramitasri, Dishaaleny Jack and Vijay Naidu.

Karthik ’s next film that awaits its grand release is Adai Mazhai Kaalam, with the film's trailer and song by Shameshan Mani Maaran promising a film that fans would enjoy watching on the big screen.
