
With nearly three decades in the entertainment industry, Sasikumar Kandasamy has proven that passion, perseverance, and an innate talent for comedy can carve a legacy that inspires many. Sasikumar’s flair for comedy and performance surfaced early on, driven by a deep love for making people laugh. In 1996, he took his first steps onto the stage, capturing audiences with his spontaneous humor and magnetic presence. It wasn't long before producers and directors took notice, recognizing a rare talent that could connect instantly with the crowd.
Since then, Sasikumar has been involved in over 500 stage performances, countless drama series, and films, solidifying his place as a beloved entertainer in the local industry.
One of his most celebrated works is the Oops Kosa Dappa film series (Parts I, II & III), which became a milestone in his acting career. The success of the trilogy earned him a token of appreciation from a renowned Indian film director, further validating his impact beyond borders.
In total, Sasikumar has worked on a variety of television series such as Kasamusa Kaathai, Meendum 18, Serial Pei, Adada Deepavali, Vengaiyan Maga, and Pasanga Season 2, to name a few. His filmography includes notable titles like I Know What You Did Last Deepavali, Kafe 1900, Kalluri Rascal, and Vedigundu Pasanga.
Each role, whether comedic or character-driven, reflects his versatility and dedication to the craft.
Despite his achievements, Sasikumar remains humble and driven. A proud member of the Malaysian Artists Association, he believes that his journey is far from over. “What I have achieved so far is only part of my journey,” he shares, emphasizing his commitment to continuous growth and learning.
What’s even more admirable is his discipline—an avid reader as a child, Sasikumar is now known for his ability to memorize scripts within three days, a testament to his professionalism and passion.
