Shamini Ramasamy, predominantly known as Shamini Shradha, is a well-known local artiste celebrated for her distinctive singing style as well as her impressive acting talent. Over the years, she has built a strong reputation in the Malaysian entertainment industry through dedication, consistency, and her passion for the performing arts.

An Astro Vaanavil Talent Quest 2003 finalist, Shamini began her artistic journey at the young age of 10. Her earliest achievement was winning a Thevaram singing competition, which marked the beginning of her musical path. She soon went on to perform at numerous charity shows, gaining valuable stage experience and recognition for her voice. Prior to Talent Quest, she also participated in Bakat Radio 6 in the year 2000, further strengthening her presence in the local music scene. When Astro Vaanavil announced its Talent Quest competition, Shamini confidently stepped forward to participate, and the exposure from the platform opened doors to many opportunities, including both local and international projects.

Beyond singing, Shamini successfully expanded her career into acting, appearing in several local productions such as Maindhan (movie), Akkam Pakkam (series), Dejavu 375 (series), Kadhanaayagi (series), Black & White (movie), and Oru Kalaignanin Diary (series), among many others. Her performance in Kadhanaayagi received notable critical appreciation, especially for her challenging portrayal of a ghost character that required a completely different makeover. In interviews, Shamini shared that the role demanded intense preparation, both mentally and physically, as it involved complex emotional expressions and stunt sequences.

As a versatile performer who continues to remain active in both singing and acting, Shamini has several upcoming projects yet to be announced and released. Her continued dedication to exploring new opportunities reflects her commitment to growing as an artiste and entertaining audiences across different platforms.
