People can still touch lives, even when they're not around anymore.
Billie Breland married the love of her life, Jimmy Breland, 60 years ago. They enjoyed 60 years of happy marriage, having many children and grandchildren as they grew older.
Jimmy and Billie were so close that when her health was failing, Jimmy never left her bedside. He was there till the very end, till she breathed her last breath.
When Jimmy was tidying up her belongings, he found many notes that Billie wrote in her check book. She loved writing little reminders for herself around the family home. He was going through her notes, reminiscing the good days, when he saw one that was not her usual note-to-self.
It was a note she wrote addressed to him, meant to be found by him after she has passed on:
Billie wrote: "Please don't cry because I died! Smile because I lived! Know that I'm in a happy place! Know that we will meet again! I'll see you there!"
The note meant a lot of Jimmy. It comforted him, letting him know that he will meet his beloved wife again in a better place.
