Every fans dream is to see their favorite stars to comet together for a movie. It is the dream of movie lovers to see Thalapathy Vijay and Superstar Mahesh Babu share screens. It will come as a surprise that there was a project that almost came through which unfortunately did not take off. Both stars have a massive fan following in around the world.
Ace director Mani Ratnam had a plan to make 'Ponniyin Selvan' with a huge star cast back in 2016. Both Thalapathy Vijay and Mahesh Babu signed the project and was about to start filming when the disappointing news of the film being shelved was announced. The film was also said to have had Vikram, Karthi, Arya, Prabhu and Karthick on board.
Fans and film lovers were disheartened by the announcement made. Years after, Suhasini now has revealed the truth behind the project being dropped. In her latest interview she confirmed that Vijay and Mahesh Babu did sign on to play the lead in 'Ponniyin Selvan', but the project did not take off because the VFX and graphics technology were not as advanced then as it is now.
Mani Ratnam has re-started his dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan' with the stellar cast of Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Aishwarya. If Vijay and Mahesh Babu were in it now, this would have been the biggest multistarred epic in the history of Indian cinema.
