Outbreak of the Wuhan virus still appears to be a global threat as the number of deaths topped 1,000 this morning. 

It is estimated that there are 43,090 diagnosed with the virus, majority in China and 4,000 being treated and sent home from the hospitals in China. Even the WHO is laying groundwork to assemble a larger international team in order to combat the spreading and treating the coronavirus. 

Parts outside of China are also heavily facing the threat, where a vessel called the Diamond Princess cruised ship has been quarantined for almost a week, when 135 passengers onboard the vessel tested positive for the virus so far. 

Hong Kong also detected two residents in a high-rise tower with the coronavirus, and microbiologist KY Yuen believes that the virus could have been travelling through the building’s ventilation system. He added that the transmission route for the virus there is not clear yet. Hong Kong has been on high alert for such viruses ever since the SARS outbreak of 2003 where pipelines were a major source of transmission for the virus.

The more we start finding out about the coronavirus, the more we can see realise how dangerous it is and why all the precautions from our Health ministries and WHO have to be taken seriously.
