Rajini and Kamal are undoubtedly the most iconic heroes that Tamil cinema has seen, and fans are eager to see the duo share screens; after decades since being last seen together. 

Now there’s hope! Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is expected to direct Kamal And Rajini under the Rajkamal Production.   

When questioned about 'Thalaivar 169', Lokesh said he can’t talk about the project, and only the production house can provide an update once the necessary deals are sealed. He also hinted that its too early to talk about the mega project, indicating that as reported he will work on other projects before having a crack at this one. This is largely due to the pandemic — considering the age factor of both Kamal and Rajini.

There are numerous speculations that Kamal and Rajini have given the nod to share screens and we can await the official conformation soon.
