1. Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) worked together with the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry to conduct the Ambang 2020 @ Kuala Lumpur from 10am today at Dataran Merdeka. Stay until 11.30pm so you can catch a glimpse of our Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad giving his speech, to start the ball rolling to 2020.
Korean pop star, Jang Han-byul and local artistes Awie, Ella, Hujan, Santhesh, Bunkface and Pop Shuvit will also be performaning to light the night up!
Not only that, a three-hour celebration that starts at 9pm will be held under the glittering night sky at the Esplanade in KLCC Park with astonishing performances from Siti Sara, Noryn Aziz, The Typewriter, DJ Aida and many more.
Calling out Cheras folks! You can skip the bad jam and watch fireworks while partying nearby to your city! Sunway Velocity Mall is also conducting a New Year party as well. There will be food trucks, carnival, photo booth and the list goes on!
2. Petaling Jaya
Where are all our PJ people? Good news because the Curve, eCurve and IPC Shopping Centre have joined hands to begin the New Year with good music and alluring fireworks! The night will top off with the longest and largest fireworks display in the Damansara area.
There will be a free concert will be held in front of Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa starts at 9pm tonight, showcasing spectacular fireworks while featuring “2020” emblazing in the sky.
Moreover, Citta Mall in Ara Damansara is all set to celebrate its 4THNew Year’s Eve Party. The mall has called some famous in-house celebrities to liven up the atmosphere from 9pm onwards.
What’s even more interesting is The Square by Jaya One wants to celebrate its milestone with the public after going through a refurbishment recently. If you are going tonight, you get to witness the dashing and thrilling fire performance by Tommy Tongchai followed by live band, Music Sense to end the night.

3. Shah Alam

If you live in Shah Alam or somewhere nearby, join the countdown celebration with Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam. Fun activities like drone racing, night run and many more are planned from 10am onwards. In conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020 and Selangor’s Golden Triangle Day in February 2020, i-City will be featuring multicultural performances and special activities. Every ride and attraction will be offered at a “Buy One, Get One Free” deal at i-City theme park after the clock strikes at 12am so don’t miss it!
4. Putrajaya

This event at Putrajaya is something that we shouldn’t miss. In conjunction with its silver jubilee, Putrajaya is throwing its biggest event; the 7thLight and Motion Putrajaya also known as Lampu 2019 at Dataran Putrajaya. Why we said you shouldn’t miss this event because this will be your last call to view the installation. Visitors can look forward to a digital fireworks display and a pyrotechnic display, along with plenty of food trucks. PS: admission is aboslutely free!
