Most of us have to think twice before buying a meal outside; some can’t afford the luxury of dining out. Food prices been going up, making a filling meal a simple luxury for many.
 
One nasi kandar stall in Sungai Petani, Kedah, has gone the distance to make sure everyone can afford a delicious meal . Sheik Faizal Mohd Ismail is selling meals starting from RM 1. 

The 43-year-old gained the praise of Malaysians for his amazing initiative selling meals to the underprivileged starting from only RM1. This idea started after he moved from his shop’s original location; which had undergone renovation. The idea came about after he saw people from various economical status come to dine at his mother’s restaurant.

During his early days in the restaurant business, the meals were sold at an average price range and he noticed that many of his customers were moderate and low income earners. He decided to do something about it so everyone could afford a decent meal.

“I started offering more dishes that are priced at only RM1, so that people can enjoy more food at a reasonable price,” he said.
 

Although the RM1 meal portions are not the same size as regular ones, costumers with a tight budget are still satisfied  with the delicious meal. Mr Ismail only makes a small profit , but he is determined to keep providing affordable meals for the less fortunate.
