Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed said that the police and Attorney-General's Chambers are discussing the possibility of allowing police reports to be lodged online.

The idea is to make it easier for members of the public to lodge a police report. Currently, people need to be present at police stations to lodge a report. This new online system should allow people to lodge reports from the comfort of their homes or via their mobile phones.

However, there's the problem of getting the complainant's signature. A suggestion was given to allow for e-signatures on police reports.
