It's no secret that Facebook makes money through advertising. The revenue generated depends on the amount of time you spend on Facebook, how you interact on the social media platform, and the region you're in.
In their recently published third quarter's earnings, Facebook shows the average revenue generated from every Facebook user broken down by regions: Canada, USA, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and "rest of the world".

For us in Asia-Pacific, Facebook makes USD7.56 out of every user. That means that the average Malaysian Facebook user is worth about RM31.58 to Facebook.
In total, Facebook made USD7 billion last year.
