The first look poster of director Karthick Naren’s upcoming film, tentatively titled D43, was released to commemorate Dhanush’s 38th birthday.
The first look also reveals the title of the film as Maaran.
Maaran is Karthick’s fourth directorial outing after his successful debut Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, which was followed by Mafia: Chapter 1.
The director's previous film Naragasooran is currently awaiting its release.
Maaran also stars Malavika Mohanan as the female lead with music by GV Prakash.
Dhanush was last seen in director Karthik Subbaraj’s Jagame Thanthiram. The film was released directly onto a streaming platform due to the ongoing pandemic. The filmdrew a mixed response from critics and fans alike.
