Get ready for some sizzling dance floor action because our local dance talents are about to bring the heat in Battleground Malaysia: Road to Gold!
It's not just another reality dance series
Battleground Malaysia: Road to Gold is an annual street dance competition by Astro that seeks to crown the nation’s best dancer.
This year, the show is teaming up with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to do more. The Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Hannah Yeoh, said:
“Breaking is the latest sport to be introduced at the Paris 2024 Olympics. By partnering Astro on Battleground Malaysia: Road to Gold, [the Ministry] is committed to helping gifted Malaysian youths further strengthen their talents in dance and set them on the road to gold on the global stage.”

Besides reflecting the ministry's dedication to providing young talents with a platform to shine, the show also expands the reach of the ministry's programmes across various platforms, combining elements of sports, dance, and entertainment.
On top of that, the show demonstrates Malaysia's steadfast commitment to clinching that coveted first gold medal in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Plus, it's not just a show for the adults – families can tune in too and cheer on their favourite dancers! It's also a chance for all Malaysians to come together and support our diverse group of contestants from different backgrounds!
So, what can you expect from the show?
Contestants of Battleground Malaysia: Road to Gold have been shortlisted from hundreds of applications across the nation, who wowed the public and judges at an on-ground audition held at AEON Mall Shah Alam in July.
