Malaysia is among the countries warned by the World Health Organization to prepare for a bigger outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, according to The Star and Malay Mail.
Dr.Takeshi Kasai, who is the regional director of the Western Pacific released an official statement on 12th February 2020 and mentioned that the findings of their research showed the virus could be more transmissible than what was initially thought. “ If we don’t prepare now, we will not be able to activate those plans when they are needed”, said Dr Takeshi.

He also adds that countries should control the influx of people to health facilities by advising to stay home and recover in order. Furthermore, the countries should ensure that health facilities themselves do not become places that can amplify the virus to others who are not infected.
The data obtained on the suspected cases should be used to track the outbreak better, and Putrajaya is advised to monitor the movement of the outbreak and trends to get ahead of the virus and infections.
Please take precautions beforehand and take care everyone!
