A school teacher named Nadwa Nasir recently shared on Facebook a heartwarming story about a young school girl attending her school orientation this year with her unsighted parents.
What really touched her heart was, the student was guiding her parents who both were blind, and showed them her school compound and its surroundings. Nadwa described how the parents followed their determined child around who was eagerly showing them where her class, school field and canteen was located despite being aware of her parents’ absence of eyesight.
Nadwa uploaded her photo alongside her Facebook post to describe how the event touched her heart and brought tears to her eyes. The post now has over 12,000 shares on Facebook, and is full with comments from viewers on the child’s resilience and determination with her parents. One of the netizens wrote that there is dust in the eyes as a way to describe how the story brought tears to the netizen’s eyes.
The teacher also added how she tried to write her parent’s cell phone number by herself, and exclaimed that seeing the child’s strength also gives her the strength to brace the challenges of 2020.
