Every talent deserves their moment of recognition; and one boy from Nilai received just that — in the form of a special phone call, after sending his artwork to his favorite football club.

Loyal Liverpool supporter Ganeswaran Sega drew an amazing drawing of his beloved English football club and was contacted by the club’s head of news, James Carroll, saying there was an interested buyer for his painting “The six”.

29-year-old Ganeswaran Segar, who completed his masters in mechanical engineering, had had a huge passion for drawing since young, starting on A4 sized papers. Driven by passion, he graduated to express his artistic talent on canvas.

The massive 23" x 33" drawing took 11 months to complete, with a total of 25 individual faces drawn.  He had taken some time to practice by drawing 2-3 faces at a time before going all in with the mega project as one small error was all it took to ruin the drawing completely.

Ganeswaran, after completing the artwork, decided to try his luck by sending in pictures and a making video of his drawing to the football club. To his surprise he received an email from the club, and on the following day, was contacted on Twitter by the club’s head of news, James Carroll, who was very much impressed with his drawing.

After a brief conversation, James told Ganeswaran of an interested buyer for the painting. Curious, he asked who it was and was inform that it was none other than Pepijn Lijnders, the assistant manager of Liverpool FC. He since agreed to sell his drawing to the assistant manager!

Ganeswaran is happy that his talent is appreciated by many, and we hope to see more amazing masterpieces in time to come!
