The neem tree is a medicinal plant and is native to the Indian subcontinent and dry areas throughout South Asia. The tree is also introduced in the Caribbean’s, parts of Africa, and South and Central America.
Usually grown from seed, they can stand up to 15m to 30m high and their leaves are typically evergreen, though they do drop during extreme drought. It’s hardy and grows well in poor, rocky soils.
