Kamal Haasan revealed on his Twitter feed that he has tested positive for Covid-19.

அமெரிக்கப் பயணம் முடிந்து திரும்பிய பின் லேசான இருமல் இருந்தது. பரிசோதனை செய்ததில் கோவிட் தொற்று உறுதியானது. மருத்துவமனையில் தனிமைப்படுத்திக் கொண்டுள்ளேன். இன்னமும் நோய்ப்பரவல் நீங்கவில்லையென்பதை உணர்ந்து அனைவரும் பாதுகாப்பாக இருங்கள்.

“ After returning from America, I had symptoms of light coughing. When tested, it was confirmed that I have Covid-19. I have isolated myself at the hospital. Let’s all understand that the pandemic is not over yet and behave accordingly. Stay safe,” he tweeted. 

Kamal Haasan has been hosting 'Bigg Boss Tamil' for all the five seasons so far. His style and unique way of interacting with the contestants have won millions of fans who could not imagine anyone else taking his place.

The biggest question among netizens and fans of the reality game show is ‘ Who is going to replace Kamal Hassan hosting Bigg Boss 5 while he takes time to recover ?’.  Sources close to the television channel has revealed that most likely the replacement for the actor is his own daughter Shruti Haasan.

The source revealed  that the producers have initiated talks with Shruti and whether she accepts will be reveled in an official announcement in a couple of days.
