The teaser of the most-anticipated film, Jagame Thanthiram was released recently on YouTube. Director Karthik Subbaraj has whipped up a dark comedy on an Indian gangster, who gives the mafias in America a run for their money. Fans are super hyped watching the intriguing trailer. 


Jagame Thanthiram was set to release in May of 2020. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, filmmakers were forced to postpone the film multiple times.  The makers and fans had always hoped that the film would hit the big screens, as all of Danush’s previous films had done in the past. 



Due to uncertainties at the time the makers have announced a direct digital release on a famous OTT brand. The OTT premiere date  has not been announced yet. Fans who were  excited to watch the movie on the big screens are slightly disappointed and hope that the makers would change their minds. Meanwhile, Malaysian cinemas remain closed currently due to recent spikes in COVID-19 cases.
