The warranty is applicable when the paint you’ve used experiences the following defects within 7 years of the effective date that’s stated in your receipt:
#1 Peeling

Peeling happens when the film peels away or removes itself from the substrate. Some causes of paint peelings are high humidity, water and dirty surface. However, the warranty does not cover peeling issues caused by improper surface preparation (e.g old paint film wasn’t completely removed before the wall was repainted).
#2 Cracking

Another condition that allows you to use the warranty is when you can see visible hairline cracks with in the paint film. Hairline cracks happen due to the expansion and contraction of wall surface. It also occurs when you’ve failed to properly prepare the wall surfaces before painting.
Keep in mind that warranty is only applicable to cracking issues that’s not caused from substrate or structural defects and improper preparation.
#3 Fungus

You’re able to utilise the warranty when there’s fungus growth within the paint film. Normally, fungus grows when there’s a lot of condensation on the walls, high humidity and the presence of leaking pipes near or inside the walls.
However, it’s best to take note that the warranty doesn’t cover fungus growth caused from high humidity, water seepage, dirt accumulation, high moisture or constant dampness within the walls.
While a warranty will certainly help ease your worries, it’s always important to remember to take the right steps to protect your walls.
As you’ve noticed, the warranty does not cover damages resulting from natural events such as high humidity, condensation and improperly prepared surfaces.

Prepare the surfaces properly before painting—remember to use a sealer, which will ensure proper adhesion of paint film and delivers long-lasting colours.
