Telugu superstar Ram Charan, who is currently working on SS Rajamouli's RRR, is all set to play the lead in director Shankar's upcoming film. The film is expected to be a historical drama, the film is likely to go on floors in the first quarter of 2022.
Director Shankar took to Twitter to announce the exciting news that he will be joining hands with actor Ram Charan.
Local media reported that Shankar is also in talks with Vijay Sethupathi and other top actors for the project. Shankar is currently waiting to resume the shoot of his much-anticipated film, Indian 2. The film's production was put on hold after a fatal accident on set.
Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian. The political thriller also features Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Vivekh in important roles.
