Touch ‘n Go cards have become a huge part of our daily lives, especially over the last few years, with the emergence of more public transport, and of course e-wallet services.
But you may not know that the card actually has an expiration date.
That’s right! Whether you use it frequently or not, your Touch ‘n Go card has a set lifespan of 10 years.
Once your Touch ‘n Go card expires, you will not be able to use it and you would have to replace it with a new one.
You can get one for free at NU Sentral’s Touch ‘n Go Hub, or you can visit one of their card purchase locations found on their website, and get one for RM10.
If you still have balance credit in your expired card, you can choose to either transfer the funds to your new card or get a refund by filing a request on their website.
You will receive your refund amount credited into your Malaysian bank account or Touch 'n Go e-wallet.
So be sure to know when your card expires – you can find the expiration date on the back!
