Things are looking better as Wuhan patients are making full recovery from the new vaccine, and a total of 475 patients have recovered and sent home with their symptoms completely alleviated.
However, much damage has been done by the virus and the New York Times has reported that the death toll of 361 people has already surpassed the SARS outbreak in 2002 and 2003 in mainland China.
Wuhan, including 50 million people in China in 15 other cities had to be on lockdown for the past two weeks due to worries of the virus spreading.
Malaysian nationals were among them who were trapped in the city, but they have been brought back by AirAisa flight number AK8264 yesterday, as reported by Berita Harian. The flight also carried 500,000 gloves as a donation to the Chinese government.
Hopefully, there will be more great news to come with more recoveries to those in danger of the virus. Even though the threat of the virus is eradicated, it is still important for us to continue practicing good hygiene to prevent a situation from repeating itself.
