So, Vishwaroopam 2, has finally hit cinemas nationwide! The sequel to 2013’s action spy thriller almost didn’t make it to the silver screens after being stuck in development for almost five years.

But as we are filled with the excitement of being able to watch this movie, let’s take some time to appreciate the man who made all of this happen: Kamal Haasan. We already adore him for his contribution in making Vishwaroopam 2 a reality, but here are four more reasons why we love this man…

#1 He’s really good at what he does (obviously)

We’re not joking when we say that this man is really good at his craft. It’s his talent, dedication, and hard work that has won him numerous awards including four National Film Awards, 19 Filmfare Awards, and even the President’s Gold Medal for the film Kalathur Kannamma, which he acted in as a four-year-old child in 1960.

#2 He lends his talents to movies in several languages

No one in the Indian movie industry can claim that they’ve acted in movies in six different languages, but Kamal Haasan can. In his career, the man has been featured in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali films.

#3 He’s a man of action

Whether Hollywood or Bollywood, it’s no secret that the stunts you see in movies are often performed by stunt doubles rather than the actor or actress themselves. That’s not the case for Kamal Haasan though. He prefers to do his own stunts—inflicting back injuries and up to 32 fractures on himself in the process throughout his career!

#4 He’s ‘normal’ and relatable just like all of us

While successful in his career, unfortunately the same cannot be said about his personal life having had two failed marriages. But with each divorce, Kamal Haasan shows the world how human he is by admitting that “marriage is not a film you can forget if it flops” and that he felt scarred.
