If you are looking to see how life is out of the city, take a trip to Sekinchan. There are wide green paddy fields and fishermen wharfs where you can see the lives of fishermen. There are also plenty of cheap and tasty seafood and mangoes the size of your forearm!
Bukit Larut, Taiping

A bit further than 2 hours from the city but you will find one of the oldest hill resorts in Malaysia. It is the place for you if you are looking for wildlife and to enjoy the feel of nature around you. The place is less developed as compared to Genting or Cameron Highlands so you find a lot more trees and greenery there.

We know that this is a common suggestion, but we will still keep it in the list because it is just a great place to go whether you are with your friends or family. It is still scenic location till now and even if you are not going shopping at the Genting City Mall, there are still plenty of things to do around there.
Fraser’s Hill

Finally, we have Fraser’s Hill, named after a Scottish adventurer, Louis James Fraser who first explored the hills for but discovered tin deposits instead. It not only has a great history but interesting attractions such as The Paddock where you can try your hand at archery or horse riding. There is also a strawberry farm where you buy them fresh.
