Mkhitaryan sffers injry.

Dec 12, 2016

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has played down the ankle injury that forced Henrikh Mkhitaryan to limp off last night's 1-nil win over Tottenham.

He says the midfielder will only be sidelined for a week, and not for an extended period as initially feared.

Mkhitaryan scored the only goal of the game, which put United in 6th place in the EPL table, 6 points off Champions League qualification.

Jose also defended Marouane Fellaini after the midfielder was booed by some United fans during the Tottenham match.

This, after he gave away a late penalty in last week's 1-all draw against Everon.

Mourinho says Fellaini is a very important part of the team, and he dedicated the win over Spurs to the midfielder.
