Malaysia fail to reach AFF Cup semi-finals

Malaysia failed to make it into the semi-finals of the AFF Cup, following a 1-0 defeat to Myanmar in their group B match in Yangon.
The national team finished 3rd with 3 points behind Myanmar and group champions, Vietnam.
This is only the 3rd time Malaysia has failed to make it to the last 4, having failed to do so previously in 1998 and 2008.
