Man United are reportedly considering sacking Jose Mourinho, if the club fail to beat Newcastle in the Premiership this weekend.

The Red Devils have had a poor start to the season, recording only 10 points from their opening seven Premier League matches.

Besides criticism over his style of play, Mourinho is also said to have lost the support of some of his players, including Paul Pogba.

It made the call, after some our top athletes failed to live up to expectations, at several big sporting events this year. 

This comes as the Podium Program itself faces an uncertain future, with the Youth and Sports Ministry recently hinting that up to half of the athletes under the program could be dropped.

Datuk Nicol slips to 11th place

Malaysian squash queen Datuk Nicol David has slipped to 11th place in the latest world rankings.

This ends her record run of 177 months in the world's top 10. 

According to The Star, Nicol has also lost her place as Asia's top women's player...with the honour going to Hong Kong's Annie Au, who is now ranked 10th in the world.

Serena Williams is set to face Roger Federer in the mixed doubles event, when the USA takes on Switzerland at the Hopman Cup later this year. 

Williams will partner Francis Tiafoe, while Federer will pair up with Belinda Bencic in the mixed team event in Perth, Australia.
