Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker will miss the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea next week.

This was after he suffered a calf injury in the Reds Premier League campaign with a 4-1 win over Norwich this morning.

Spanish goalkeeper Adrian, who signed for Liverpool on a free transfer just 4 days ago, replaced Becker to make his debut.

Boss Jurgen Klopp will now have to rely on Adrian for at least a couple of weeks.

Man City winger Leroy Sane will be out of action for at least 6 months due to a knee injury ahead of tonight's Premier League opener against West Ham.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury in City's Community Shield win over Liverpool last week, and will undergo surgery next week.

This now means that any potential sale to Bayern Munich this month is off as the German is set to begin a long spell of rehabilitation.

Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has got a stronger forward line for the new season despite sanctioning the sale of Romelu Lukaku.

United have brought in Swansea winger Daniel James and promoted 17-year-old Mason Greenwood into the first team.

However, the club but did not sign a direct replacement for Lukaku, who left to Inter Milan, during the window.
