The striker’s current deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season, although United do have the option of keeping him for another year.

The 33 year old, who joined the Red Devils on a free transfer last summer – has scored seven times in 23 appearances this campaign.

However, the ministry is expecting the Games to be held without spectators, adding that its waiting for organisers to send over the SOP’s for the event, that begins in July.
