EPL looking at ways to create virtual crowd atmosphere in stadiums

May 27, 2020

The Premier League is looking more ways of getting fans into stadiums digitally, to hype up the atmosphere when games finally resume behind closed doors.

This includes the potential use of the LED advertising boards and screens in stadiums, on which fans faces could be shown.

Cardboard cut-out fans, which are being used by some clubs in the Bundesliga, are also being considered by some Premier League clubs, although there are others that are less keen on the idea.

Shanghai Shenhua want Odion Ighalo back for Chinese Super League season

Odion Ighalo’s future at Man United isn’t looking too good, as his parent club Shanghai Shenhua seem set on recalling him to China.

The 30-year-old’s loan deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the month, and United have been working to extend his stay until at least the end of the Premier League season.

The two clubs had come close to an agreement, but it’s now understood that Shenhua are demanding that Ighalo returns in time for the start of the Chinese Super League campaign in three-weeks' time.

Gareth Bale opens up about life at Real Madrid

Gareth Bale has admitted that Real Madrid fans jeering him during matches hurt his confidence.

The Welshman has had a fair share of whistles and boos from some Real supporters on several occasions, since joining the club from Tottenham in 2013.

Bale says any player can make mistakes sometimes, but he doesn’t understand why fans in Spain consistently try to undermine him.

Despite helping the club win four Champions League trophies, he is still a polarising figure among Real Madrid fans.

Bale is expected to leave Real this summer, and he has been touted to return to Tottenham.
