Defending champion in US tennis Open final

Defending champion Novak Djokovic saw off Gael Monfils in a bizarre match of fluctuating fortunes, to reach his seventh US tennis Open final in New York.
Djokovic had treatment on both shoulders, while Monfils could barely move at times in punishing humid conditions.
Meanwhile, the other contender for the final will be Stan Wawrinka, following his win over Kei Nishikori.
