Bayern Munich take 10-point lead for German Bundesliga

May 31, 2020

Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski has now equaled his most prolific season.

This is after he scored twice for Bayern in last night's thumping 5-nil win over Fortuna Dusseldorf, to claim 42 goals in all competitions this campaign.

The win also means that Bayern are now 10 points clear over Borussia Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga table, with only 5 matches remaining.

However, Dortmund could narrow the gap to 7 points, if they beat Paderborn tonight.

Austria to host F1 season-opening races

Austria's government has given the green light for the country to host Formula 1's season-opening races.

The races, on the 5th and 12th of July, will take place behind closed doors in the city of Spielberg.

If the Austria races run successfully, the F1 season could continue on July 19th, in Budapest, Hungary.

UK green lights live sports behind closed doors

Live competitive sports can resume in the UK starting tomorrow.

However, they must be held behind closed doors "in safe and carefully controlled environments".

The UK government gave the green light for this to happen, some three months after all sporting activities were suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

This officially paves the way for the English Premier League to return to action on June 17th, while the British Formula 1 GP is expected to be held in August.
