paris 2024: tang jie-ee wei remain unbeaten

Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei have earned a relatively easier path in the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles.

This is after they defeated the second seeds from China in 3 sets in their third and final group match.

This confirmed them as winners of Group D, ahead of the Chinese duo.

The mixed doubles quarterfinals will take place early Thursday morning.

Olympic organisers have cancelled training for triathlon swimming for a second day, due to pollution levels in the River Seine.

Officials say water quality was affected by recent heavy rain.

--

Liverpool have reportedly rejected a 14 million euro bid from French club Marseille for midfielder Wataru Endo.

They turned down the bid due to the timing of the offer, and a lack of potential replacements.

--

PSG have reportedly agreed personal terms with Man United outcast Jadon Sancho.

The French giants will now have to agree on a transfer fee with United, who are said to be asking for around £50 million.

--

Meanwhile, Italian club Genoa are still in talks to sign former Man United goalkeeper David De Gea, with his wage demands being a major stumbling block.

De Gea is still without a club after leaving United in July last year.
