Liverpool March Into FA Cup 5th Round

Liverpool have booked their place in the FA Cup fifth round, after an entertaining 5-2 victory over Norwich City.

This was the Reds’ first match, since Jurgen Klopp announced that he will be stepping down as manager at the end of the season.

In other FA Cup fourth-round results Man United survived a fightback from Newport County to beat the lower-league side 4-2

Wolves overcame West Brom 2-0.

While Watford and Southampton played out a 1-1 draw.

Over in Spain…Girona returned to the top of La Liga after a 1-0 win over Celta Vigo.

Elsewhere, Inter Milan defeated Fiorentina 1-0 to move to the summit of the Serie A standings.

Australia have reached the quarterfinals of the Asian Cup, after thrashing Indonesia 4-0.

This, as debutants Tajikistan defeated the more fancied UAE 5-3 on penalties…after their game ended 1-1 at the end of extra time.

And, Jannik Sinner battled back from two sets down to beat Danil Medvedev in a five-set thriller in the final of the Australian tennis Open.
