Gunners Beat Brighton To Return To EPL Summit

Martin Ordegaard scored his first goal of the season to give Arsenal a 2-1 victory over Brighton.

It helped the Gunners overtake Man City at the top of the EPL standings with a two-point advantage over the Citizens.

This, after City had earlier beaten Nottingham Forest 2-1.

In other selected results, Aston Villa defeated Chelsea 2-1 to stretch their winning streak across all competitions to 11 matches.  

While Florian Wirtz scored his first Liverpool goal, to help the Reds to a 2-1 win over Wolves.

Over at the Africa Cup of Nations…Nigeria have booked a place in the last-16 after a 3-2 group win over Tunisia.

Sadio Mane netted a crucial equalizer for Senegal, to salvage a 1-1 draw with Congo.

Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al Nassr defeated Al Okhdood 3-0 to become the first-ever Saudi Pro League club to win their opening 10 matches.

And, UK reports say Marc Guehi will likely finish the season at Crystal Palace, despite huge interest in the defender at home and abroad ahead of the January transfer window.
