Liverpool are the EFL Cup winners!

Liverpool have won the EFL Cup in dramatic fashion, beating Chelsea 11-10 in a penalty shootout.

The match had ended goalless after regulation and extra time.

Both teams managed to convert all their penalties before Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga missed the decisive spot-kick, putting his shot over the bar.

This is Liverpool’s first domestic cup success in a decade.

It also leaves them on course for a possible quadruple, with the Reds still in contention for the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League titles.

West Ham are back in the running for a top-four Premier League finish after a 1-0 victory over Wolves.

It moves the Hammers up to fifth in the table, above Arsenal on goal difference and two points behind Man United in fourth.

However, the Gunners have three games in hand over both these teams.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his fifth goal in three games for Barcelona, as they thrashed Athletic Bilbao 4-0 in La Liga.

It moves Barca back up into fourth, above defending champions Atletico Madrid.

Leeds United have sacked their manager Marcelo Bielsa, after a poor run of form that saw them lose four successive league matches.

The club are currently just two points off the relegation zone.
