Euro 2024: Georgia Upset Portugal

Georgia have pulled off a surprise 2-0 win over Portugal, in their final group game at Euro 2024.

It was enough for the Georgians to secure their place in the knockout round as one of the best third-placed teams.

Despite the defeat, Portugal go through to the last-16 as Group F winners…ahead of runners-up Turkiye, who defeated the Czech Republic 2-1.

In other results, Romania finished top of Group E after their 1-1 draw with Slovakia…who also join them in the next round as one of the best third-placed teams.

While Belgium are through as group runners-up, after their goalless draw with Ukraine.

Romania vs The Netherlands

Austria vs Turkiye

England vs Slovakia

Man United are reportedly in talks to sell the naming rights to their iconic Old Trafford stadium.

Money from the sale will then be used to either renovate the ground or build a new stadium altogether.

The Selangor Menteri Besar has announced a crowdfunding initiative, to help pay Selangor FC’s fine for skipping last month’s charity shield tie.

The club were fined 100 thousand ringgit and docked three points for missing the match, which they said was for safety reasons, following Faisal Halim’s acid attack.
