Sivasangari Advances To Egypt Open QF

Malaysia’s S.Sivasangari has made the quarterfinals of the Egypt Squash Open, after a hard-fought victory over Jasmine Hutton of the UK.

She will next take on former world junior champion Amina Orfi for a place in the last four.  

Sivasangari is Malaysia’s last remaining rep at the competition, after the earlier exit of her teammates.

Back home, Penang have confirmed their place in the FA Cup quarterfinals after a comfortable win over Melaka FC.

The Panthers recorded a 3-0 victory in the second-leg of their last-16 tie…to wrap up a convincing 5-0 win on aggregate.

Elsewhere, Jude Bellingham has been included in the Real Madrid squad for their Champions League fixture against Marseille tomorrow.

The midfielder had surgery to fix a shoulder injury in July…and has not played since the Club World Cup.

And, pole-vaulter Armand Duplantis has won his third consecutive world title…while also securing a 14^th world record after clearing 6.3 meters at the World Athletics Championships.
