2 Msian Reps Reach Arctic Open Final

Malaysia will have two reps in today’s finals the Arctic badminton Open.  

Women's doubles pair Pearly Tan/M.Thinaah reached the finale, after a marathon 1hr 40 minute game against the second seeds from Japan.  

They’re joined by Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin, who’ll be competing in the men’s doubles final.  

Meanwhile, Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Lai crashed out in the mixed doubles semis.

In the European Nations League, Portugal beat Poland 3-1, thanks to goals from Bernardo Silva, Cristiano Ronaldo and a Poland own goal.  

Ronaldo’s strike in the first half was his 133rd for his country.  

Meanwhile, Martin Zubimendi got on the scoresheet as Spain beat Denmark 1-0.

Also, Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah have been released early by their respective national teams.
