Boro Stun Chelsea In The League Cup

Chelsea are in danger of missing out on a place in the League Cup final.

This, after the Blues suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to Championship side Middlesbrough in the semifinal first leg this morning.

The return leg at Stamford Bridge will take place in two weeks’ time.

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander Arnold has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a knee injury which he picked up in the FA Cup win over Arsenal earlier this week.

The 25-year-old is expected to miss both legs of Liverpool’s League Cup semi against Fulham, EPL games against Bournemouth and Chelsea as well as their FA Cup fourth round tie.

In other developments, Dutch giants Ajax are rumoured to be eyeing midfielder Jordan Henderson…who’s looking to leave Saudi Pro League side Al Etiffaq.

A number of Premier League and Bundesliga sides are also believed to be keen on the 33-year-old’s services.

And, Tottenham have completed the loan signing of striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig until the end of the season.
