Reds Cruise Past Spurs Into EFL Cup Final

Liverpool remain on course for the quadruple this season, after brushing aside Tottenham to make the final of the EFL Cup.

The Reds thrashed Spurs 4-0 in the second leg of their semifinal this morning to come away 4-1 winners on aggregate.

The current Premier League leaders will next face Newcastle in next month’s final at Wembley.

Elsewhere, Ferran Torres netted a hattrick, as Barcelona recorded a 5-0 win over Valencia to book their place in the Copa Del Rey semifinals.

KL City have missed out on a place in the semifinals of the ASEAN Club Championships…after losing 1-0 to Buriram United in their final group game.

Former Brazil and Real Madrid defender Marcelo has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 36.
