Jun Hao's Msian Open Heartbreak

Jan 07, 2025

jun hao's msian open heartbreak

We have no more reps in the Malaysian badminton Open's Men's Singles.

This is after Leong Jun Hao suffered a 3-sets defeat in the opening round to China's Lu Guang Zu.

For the record, Lu also handed Lee Zii Jia a first round exit in the tournament last year.

Several other local reps also suffered early exits today.

They include the mixed doubles pairs of Tan Kian Meng/Lai Pei Jing and Hoo Pang Ron/Chen Su Yin.

--

Lee Zii Jia's reps say the badminton ace has withdrawn from this month's Indan Open and Indonesian Masters, as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.

Officials will continue to monitor his progress, to determine when he can return to action.

--

Man United and Tottenham are battling it out to sign PSG attacker Randal Kolo Muani on loan in this month's transfer window.

Juventus have also been linked with the Frenchman, who is said to be out of favour at the Parisian club.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are said to be interested in signing Marcus Rashford on loan, but only if Man United agree to cover a portion of his wages.

--

Reports say struggling West Ham are considering sacking boss Julen Lopetogui and replacing him with ex-Chelsea manager Graham Potter.

The Hammers only have claimed one win in their last five matches, and are currently 7 points above the Premier League relegation zone.
