Man City have gone top of the EPL table for the first time this season.

They beat Watford 3-1 to go one point ahead of second-placed Liverpool.

The Reds, meanwhile, kept up the pressure with a 1-0 win over Wolves.

This came as previous leaders Chelsea dropped to third in the standings after suffering a 3-2 defeat away to West Ham.

In other results, Newcastle picked up their first win of the season…beating Burnley 1-0

While Southampton and Brighton played out a 1-1 draw.

In La Liga, Xavi suffered his first defeat as Barcelona boss with the Catalan side going down 1-0 to Real Betis.

Leaders Real Madrid defeated Real Sociedad 2-0

Mallorca beat Atletico Madrid 2-1.

While Bayern Munich moved four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, after a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker.
