Malaysia head coach Kim Pan Gon has hailed the national team’s 4-1 AFF Cup win over Singapore last night as one of their best performances.

He says he is happy to see his players turn things around, after their controversial 3-nil loss to Vietnam last week.

Last night’s victory means Harimau Malaya have qualified for the semis as Group B runners-up.

They will face Thailand in KL this Saturday, in the first leg of the semifinal.

Man United beat Bournemouth 3-0 in their EPL tie this morning.

The Red Devils have now won six games in a row in all competitions, and are level on points with third placed Newcastle.

This, as the Magpies held league leaders Arsenal to a goalless draw at the Emirates.

In other EPL results, Brighton thumped Everton 4-1.

While Fulham enjoyed a slim 1-0 win over Leicester.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has shut down reports that the club has the option of signing Cristiano Ronaldo.

This, after it was suggested that Ronaldo’s deal with Saudi club Al-Nassr includes a clause to join the Magpies - who are also under Saudi ownership - if they qualify for the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has officially been unveiled at his new club, where he will reportedly be the highest-paid footballer in the world.
